frequently asked questions:
— is that a blog? is that a portfolio website? no. we are a directory for research of posters with a strict focus. please note this is very different from portfolio systems like cargo collective and behance network.
— what "typo/graphic" stands for? that's our twin focus. we only showcase posters with a strong typographical or graphical content.
— "graphical"? sorry, i understand this word has many meanings and is pretty dubious, but for me it stands for the pure forms of visual representation, those which rely on geometry and synthesis of forms and colors to convey a powerful message. on the other hand, it also means the design can't be pure illustration, drawing or photography.
— are you an institution or what? not close! that project was made by
me and is just fruit of my eagerness to do something that matters. it was produced aside my regular work and mostly powered by coffee.
— so, that website is made by one person... do you put online only what you want? not at all. each author manages their own work and gives me permission to host and promote them. i just come in the way to make sure they fit into typo/graphic posters profile, either by our focus or by a minimum quality standard.
— what's next?expansion to other devices, exhibition coverages, contests, print support for our members, and everything else that looks impossible, but above all: content solidification — the basis of our existence is being a source for studies, inspiration and promotion of good design, and that will always be priority.
— sponsorship? good question. i look for one full sponsor. as you see, our website is not suited to be clouded with banners nor i will ever charge from the members, so let's hope one day we get full financial support to make everything less impossible.
